Nell, a female rabbi, wants her mother to approve of her snowboarder boyfriend. Iris, her mother, wants her to stay with her in Florida – sans fiancé. In Nell's corner: Moses and Job. In Iris' corner: her Peruvian shaman housekeeper, who casts a devotion charm that goes horribly wrong.
